Today we will discuss about lifestyle modifications of some non communicable diseases prevalent in our society like diabetes, cardiovascular diseases. The list is long, but we will discuss about few things
1.Regular exercise at least for three minutes
2. Obese persons should try to decrease weight
3. Try to avoid alcohol and smoking
4. Regular check up of Blood pressure, blood sugar and serum cholesterol in high risk persons for cardiovascular diseases.
5.Persons above 40-45 years should check blood pressure at periodic intervals.
6. limit fatty foods, fast foods
7. Avoid chewing tobacco
8. 4 to 5 servings of fruits and vegetables daily
9. Familial history of diabetes, Hypertension , cardiovascular diseases, stroke should be evaluated properly.
