H. pylori test 1. Urea breath test- Here a liquid containing Urea is given to drink. Then the person is allowed to breathe. CO2 is emitted as urea is broken down by bacteria. 2. Stool antigen test 3. Blood antibody test- But it cannot distinguish between present and past infection.
- Ultrasound- It detects the ulcers or inflamed parts of stomach. It provides timely warning before any complications.
- Endoscopy– It is necessary for moderate to severe symptoms. Helpful in detecting epithelial integrity, inflammation and ulcers.
