Allaying the fear and doubts of Covid vaccination

 Since the pandemic corona virus disease created the havoc, all  of us are in a suspicious state to see the end of virus. But still it is very much active, with one wave after another all over the world.Now the  vaccination is rampant everywhere to cover as much population possible.Many leading vaccine makers like Pfizer, Moderna, Sputnik, Covishield, Covaxin have worked day and night to make successful trials of these vaccines for saving millions of lives. But still doubts loom in minds of some people regarding its efficacy, potency in saving lives, duration of protection, ability to prevent re-infection. In the second wave, most of the population in india were not vaccinated. 

The killer delta variant took away many lives. After that panic, the vaccination coverage in all over the world surged like anything. Now the third wave due to the Omicron variant is prevalent, but the virulence and the rate of hospitalization is low. Mortality and morbidity have significantly reduced. Though,still some persons who have taken two doses are re-infected, the overall rate of hospitalization, mortality is low. All the existing  vaccines are showing some kind of protection. We should not doubt the vaccines. Gradually the community will move towards  herd immunity. Some people spreading misleading information discouraging others. These phenomena are indirectly hurting the  well being of the society where still  a significant fraction are still unvaccinated. Let’s work together to spread the message of beneficial effects of Covid vaccination so that we will achieve the target of herd immunity very soon.
